While we were blowing dough on activities during our stay in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, we decided to join in on a night out on the White River for a party that was scheduled that week. We had met 2 other couples that we bonded with and hung out together pretty much the entire week, so what's a few more bucks to spend with new friends? At the appointed time we were picked up from the hotel and carried to a river bank in the middle of nowhere and loaded up in to long wooden outboard motor powered skiffs and off we went into the dark Jamaican night. Not too far down the river we came to a torchlit clearing and the party began. We had a blast with a lobster dinner, open bar, and plenty of entertainment from fire eaters, dancers, acrobats, and afterwards some rum and red stripe infused reggae dancing. Bonoonoonoos means "special friend, sweetheart, or special person" in Patois, and we certainly felt welcomed as we had a great night out enjoying the cool tropical night in this beautiful country.
