The Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) is a Protestant church located right at the heart of theold town center of Delft in the Netherlands. The New Church is just a few minutes from the Old Church on foot. The Stadhuis (town hall) of Delft is located in the same market square with the New Church. The New Church is famous for many things. First, the church has impressively tall steeple which soars like rocket and clearly dominate the skyline of Delft. The New Church is also famous as a burial place of Dutch Royal families. What was interesting to me was the ceiling of the church’s interior. The entire ceiling was timber not stone. Another thing famous for this church is its historical clocks and bells.
