Had a few hours to spend at Crater of the Diamonds State Park (where you can search for diamonds and keep what you find), digging in the dirt and sloshing about in the sluicing stations. None in our party actually found any diamonds, but it was a lot of fun to look for them. Recommend galoshes, and maybe a raincoat to protect you from the splash zone if you decide to engage in the wet sifting (other options include surface searching and dry sifting). Also recommend taking along a bucket as you can take home some of the dirt to play around in later. Also had fun listening to the avid diggers talking about their finds, and announcements from the office that another diamond had been found. Equipment is available for rent.
