Mud Hut Paintings

Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Egypt

The Nubian people generally lived in what looked like tall mud huts. Oftentimes, several generations of people lived in each hut. On several of the huts of the walls and on barriers there were paintings of different townspeople. Overall, the culture of the people seemed simple and pleasant. These huts were on a small island in the middle of the Nile. To get off the island, we had to hire someone to boat us into town. For a couple extra Egyptian Pounds, we were able to take the boat to visit other tourist destinations. We even got to ride a camel. I highly recommend a trip to Aswan!
