Monet's Gardens

Giverny, Upper Normandy, France
1 Kudo
We visited in October, just a week before the gardens closed for the winter. The flowers were nowhere near their peak and yet were still wonderful--and the site was still very crowded. I can't imagine what the crowds must be like in the height of tourist season. Monet's Gardens are laid out like a typical Japanese garden--actually not as pretty as some Japanese gardens I have seen. But I love his paintings and is was very nice to see what inspired him.
