Midnight at the Diner of Good and Evil

Savannah, GA, United States

John Berendt's Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, along with the movie of the same name, is famously set in Savannah. The movie used many real locations in filming, so you can actually sit down and have a meal in the very same seats occupied by the actors. This restaurant, Clary's, seems to be a favorite of the author's, as he has been spotted many times over the years here. The no-frills cafe from 1903 contains a few homages to the story, including a stained glass piece featuring the "bird girl" statue on the cover of the book.
