In 2013, my wife and I spent 7 beautiful days on Maui Hawaii. WE flew into OGG and rented a jeep to take the top down. WE then proceeded directly to Lahaina which was an old Fishermans wharf town. We stayed just north of here along the highway at a condominium. While staying here we went to a luau in Lahaina which was amazing and we also ventured to Hana. ITs a beautiful drive very rain forest like. Plan a whole day to do this. Stop and get some banana bread from the roadside stands. Also make sure you see the black sand beach. Some hidden beaches that are amazing are DT Fleming and Honolua bay, not many beach goers and amazing water and waves. Have fun!

great trip! take your time and be careful on the road. IF you have a rental don't try to go all the way around the island, its too rough. Make sure you pack a lunch as well.
