We decided to do a road trip in the Canadian Rockies and the final part of our trip was a visit to Banff, part of Banff National Park. We stayed in the Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel, which is commonly referred to as “The Castle.” The name certainly fits. It is a superb, historical Hotel. We had a wonderful room with a mountain view and view of Bow River and the beautiful mountain range. We took the one hour historical tour of the hotel, with Rachel who was an extremely gifted guide, funny and smart, and learned so many local historical facts about the Hotel and the town.

What an amazing place to stay! The history of the Hotel is extremely interesting, make sure you do the one hour tour.
