Head on over to Lettuce Lake and enter into your own personal episode of "Animal Planet: Life with the water birds". Lettuce Lake is an algae pond type habitat that is crowded with interesting birds and wildlife. There are lots of benches along the boardwalk where you can sit and enjoy the show. We saw anhinga, storks, spoonbills, egrets, ibis and an eagle. The birds in the trees would swoop down into the water and grab a fish in its mouth and then roost and sit and eat it. The birds in the water would peck down into the water and grab up a fish. It was so fascinating and educational to watch. We sat for over an hour and there were others there doing the same. Excellent place to visit.
