Walking around Rouen was so quaint and beautiful. One area that was really cool to walk through was the Palais de Justice, which was once Normandy's parliament, and to the Place du Vieux Marche. This is where 19 year old Joan of Arc was executed for heresy in 1431, and we saw the plaque commemorating that. Nearby the Eglise Jeanne d'Arc marks the spot. The outside of the church is built to look like flames and the inside is very modern and beautiful, with almost an entire wall composed purely of stained glass. It was really stunning and worth a visit.
