Laguna Miscanti is a salty lake in the Chilean Alitplano near the Ruta 23 close to the border of Argentina. Laguna Miscanti is right next to the Laguna Miñiques, but it is much larger than Laguna Miñiques. The Laguna Miscanti also has teal blue color water and surprisingly it was very calm when I visited. That allows near perfect mirror reflection of the mountains on the lake surface. The lake is located at the foot of the Cerro Miscanti and there are numerous other unnamed mountain peaks in series reflected on the surface. Chilean and Bolivian Altiplano definitely provides never ending choices of similar vistas of lakes with volcanic peaks, but I felt never tired of seeing such surreal scenes.
