Krakow, Poland

We decided to go to Krakow, Poland for spring break this year because we had heard great things from our friends. This city did not disappoint. We stayed at an apartment that came in at a whopping $30 a night for a two bedroom apartment. We were close to the main square, so we walked there on our first night. Unfortunately, we flew in on Easter, so we ended up eating at McDonalds the first night, because that was our option at the time. The main square was beautiful, with horse drawn carriages, and Saint Mary's Cathedral, along with the other beautiful buildings. We also visited Wawel Castle, the Wieliczka Salt Mines and Rackowicki Cemetery. We had tickets to Auschwitz, however, our entry time was so late in the day that we wouldn't have had transportation back to Krakow and we had to skip it during this trip.

Beautiful, especially at night. Plenty of restaurants and stores to choose from. The horse drawn carriages have different prices/tour lengths. Ask around before you commit for the best price.

Beautiful. Small fee to go inside, but worth it. Listen for the music played each hour, on the hour.
