The Kitt Peak National Observatory is an observatory located at the Kitt Peak of the Quinian Mountains, approximately 50 miles from Tucson, Arizona. When I visited there I did not know what to expect but was captivated by the humongous facility of large scale telescopes. I did not know that the Kitt Peak National Observatory is the largest and most comprehensive observatory in the northern hemisphere. There are day time tour program that tours around a few telescope facilities and what is going on in the observatory. However, real gem seems to be night star gazing program and even more sounded tempting is overnight program. I am not a star gazers nor have any experience, but who does not love to see deep in the sky above?
