The Khangsar Gompa is a religious outpost a few kilometers west of the new city of Khangsar. Forming a triangle of trails the gompa makes up the western point with trails east leading north and up the hill to the old site of the city that has been abandoned and a little south to the modern site of the town. The gompa itself is a series of structures built around a central temple. It also marks the beginning of the final big climb for the day heading uphill to Shree Karka. So take a few minutes to appreciate the view as you need the rest before the climb.
