Wow, this place is truly incredible. This was my first time visiting this national park, and it's nothing like I've ever seen in person before. I felt like I was exploring a new planet. What I hadn't known before is that a Joshua tree is actually the type of tree that grows in this region, and not just one special tree which is found in the park. It is a sort of funky looking short palm tree that grows literally everywhere in the park and also around Yucca Valley. Our first stop was the Jumbo Rocks area where we were able to climb a bunch of enormous boulders and take our time enjoying the striking views. Definitely don't want to forget your camera for this place!
