Jack London State Historic Park is a beautiful place to take a break from wine tasting in Glen Ellen, CA, close to Sonoma. We first visited the House of Happy Walls, which was a home for Jack and Charmain London, when they were home from their many travels. There you can see lots of memorabilia like Jack’s first edition novels, a grand piano and many collectibles from their travels. You can also see the story of their Cruise of the Snark. I had no idea he was such a traveler until we visited here. We then made a short walk to the grave site of Jack London. Then onto Wolf House…what was designed to be London’s dream home, it is now a large ruin structure. It was destroyed in a terrible fire and London did not live long enough to rebuild. We then spent a few hours hiking through the redwood forest nearby. This is a great place to spend a day hiking, ride horses or have a picnic.
