My first visit to Seattle was when I was as a 15-year-old. One of my best friends had moved there, and my parents were fine with a friend and I flying out on our own to visit. One of the places my friend's family was eager to take us was Ivar's Fish Bar on the Waterfront, a local institution. I haven't been back to Seattle much except to change planes, but recently did have a day there, and was glad to check out Ivar's, and see it was still there. The menu was very similar - fish and chips - though they've opened quite a few different concept restaurants around the region by now. Great seafood, as always.
