Ice Alerts for drivers

Claysville, PA, United States

Pennsylvania is a state in the North eastern section of the United States whose highways and turnpikes show signs of seasonal distress. The freeze thaw cycle that occurs in Fall and Spring typically happens as daytime temps and evening temps cross the thirty two degrees Fahrenheit range and water freezes in cracks on the road, leading eventually to potholes. This can also happen with storms dropping rain and temperatures falling to below freezing. At this Welcome Center in Claysville, PA they also had a safety device to demonstrate to drivers that perhaps being aware of the driving conditions at any given time in the winter may also be a good idea.
