When visiting the Louvre museum the statement that they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is not true, there is beauty here for everyone. The design is beautiful the architecture is amazing, and the collection is impeccable. But when visiting the Louvre museum don't waste your time trying to see the Mona Lisa that's probly only about 2' by 2' and a line about 100 people deep. You will get much more enjoyment just passing by getting a long shot and viewing the many other beautifully curated pieces there. I even advise you to use Rick Steves Louver walk through it will take about 2 hours but the best 2 hour spent of your life to actually know what you're looking at and history behind it.
Last but not least do not wait in line buy your tickets before you will be glad you did. You can buy the Paris pass but only if you plan on utilizing it. More on that later!
