Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is most well known for its awesome tide pools, which are amazing in themself. But most people completely skip the hiking areas that take you to the cliff top viewing areas that overlook the beach. There are picnic tables and rest rooms at the parking area but then instead of going right to the beach, you go left to where the trail heads are. One trail goes through a cypress forest that's very picturesque and shaded. This takes you to the top of a bluff with amazing views. We saw whales out in the distance and seals closer up on the beach below. There are benches where you can relax and stay awhile or have a picnic. Beautiful scenery.
