When visiting Frankfurt, my German companions told me that a well-known local cuisine is green sauce with boiled eggs. We all wanted to try it (my German friends weren't from Frankfurt), so we got a table at the most traditional-looking restaurant that we could find, and we all ordered the green sauce. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but we all ended up liking it. It was a bit like pesto, but more creamy, with eggs and potatoes. It was satisfying and actually filling, even though it didn't look like a lot of food. This local food checks out!
