When I opened my mailbox and saw an official mailing from the Government of Victoria, Australia, around two months after I visited, I knew it couldn't be good. Sure enough, it was a ticket generated by a speed camera for the equivalent of around 150 USD for speeding by 7kmph -- that's 4mph! I briefly contemplated not paying it, but then I discovered that could make reentry to both Australia and New Zealand difficult in the future, and I didn't want to be an international fugitive over this. So, our outstanding trip along the Great Ocean Road ended up being a bit more expensive than planned. At least they accept credit cards!
