Walking around the Grand Place in the center of Belgium is so beautiful. It is truly a magnificent central square. The Hotel de Ville is a great gothic building and all of the buildings glisten from the antique frame of guildhalls. We wandered around Galeries St. Hubert, which opened in 1847 and is a "grande dame" of Brussels shopping. We bought a few pralines in one of the decadent chocolate shops. We also wandered down Rue de Bouchers with its waiters trying to get you to come in with dancing lobsters! We got a Belgium waffle with whipped cream and chocolate syrup (duh) and some frites and found the Manneken Pis fountain. A lovely afternoon!
