You can take an MRT train to Harbourfront Station to get to Sentosa Island, which is separate from Singapore. The best way to describe this place is calling it the Orlando of Asia. Not only does the island have an amazing aquarium, but it has a beach, Universal Studios, a water park, a maritime museum, casino, hotels and restaurants. You could spend a week in this place, but I only had a day so I chose to see the S.E.A. aquarium. This is the largest aquarium in the world, with large exhibitions and tanks holding every kind of animal sea life you can imagine like the giant octopus, jellyfish, sea stars, dolphins and sharks. It costs between $30-$35 dollars to enter, but if you are a student they will offer you a discount. The aquarium is a great day trip, but you can easily spend days here at Sentosa!
