We decided to do a small detour from Toulouse and stop at the outdoor living history museum called Gallic village. This place is really awesome for kids since you get to experience, see and try history hands on. On the day that we visited, they was a demonstration of crafts and archery. It was a little bit difficult to communicate without a language, but we managed. They do have some information in English and guided tours but those are not frequent especially off season. Great place for the entire family and even without kids. You will be doing quite a lot of walking so make sure you come on a nice day.
