A recent road trip took me to Danbury Connecticut, and I took advantage of the rest facilities upon arriving to freshen up. Attracted by the boy scout placard that there was free coffee that day, I pulled off and expected the typical in and out stop. But upon pulling in, the shaded woods, the large lichen covered boulders, the picnic tables and BBQ grills set amidst the leafed out trees - well, it was simply relaxing. The building was closed (rarely used as it once was before the days of Google and online hotel sites, I'm sure), but beautifully tended with gardens. And best of all? An area set aside just for the pooch to have a restful visit, too!
