The fortress is above the Hvar's old town, about 20 minutes walk uphill. There is also a road leading to the caste, but who wants to drive on a small island. Once you reach to top you get rewarded with an awesome castle to explore. It's exceptionally well kept, that's probably why there is an entrance fee. This place gets busy during the sunset for obvious reason: everyone wants to witness the spectacular sunset over the Adriatic Sea. But even then it's possible to find a quiet corner, sit down and gaze at the sea and watch the ships come into the port
Culture and experiences
This would be the Croatian name for the castle. Different name, but still same amazing place to visit
Points of interest
It's on a steep hill, but no hiking boots required.
