After watching a rerun of Andrew Zimmern's Singapore episode, it made me miss all of the delicious selections at the hawker food stalls!
I stayed at a boutique hotel that was close to several food stalls one being open for 24 hours (score!!!)! It was a two minute walk from the hotel so I made several stops there during my stay! The shaved ice stall is a must, and they also served really refreshing calamansi juice (Filipino citrus a cross between a lime and a lemon).
In the morning I visited the Singapore Flyer and got hungry after. I was told by an employee that there are food stalls near the flyer which was about a five minute walk. It was called the "Singapore Food Trail Universal Dining". The selection was diverse with the typical Singaporean and Asian choices, and there were a few international stalls as well. The roasted chicken and rice stall was soooo good!!!
I would definitely recommend dining at the hawker stalls when in Singapore. The food quality is very good and it's inexpensive!
