Taking a few hours visitation at the Seven Ponds Nature Center in Metamora, Michigan was a very relaxing, quiet and restive stop. Visiting with family (and kids), we did the outdoor trails as well as the indoor displays in the Interpretive Center. Outside on the trails though, we found many unusual insects, trees and plants that I for one, was not used to seeing. Very small red and also purple dragonflies, in particular were prolific. These were very, very small and I wonder if they were adult in size or just small because they had just hatched and were still growing.
