Florida Panhandle Roadtrip

Florida, FL, United States
9 Kudos
We were able to explore a new part of Florida on our way from Destin over to Orlando. The panhandle was a new area for us and we took advantage of it by stopping in Tallahassee to see the capitol building, at the waterfall state park, and at a restaurant off the freeway to eat dinner. I really enjoyed the environment, especially the spanish moss on the living oak trees that really gave the area that deep south feel. The sinkholes and water fall at Falling Waters State Park was really neat too and gave a really unique view of this area that is often overlooked by vacationers.

As a former NWFL resident, I think the region has some of the most beautiful places to see in Florida. Falling Waters State Park is at the top of a limestone hill and is so different from the rest of the state. So glad you enjoyed your trip.
