My partner and I road tripped to the Valley of Fire State Park about an hour outside of Vegas. We spent an afternoon/early evening there and then the following morning. We drove around the whole park and did several hikes. By far, the most spectacular view was at the fire wave (pictured). It's a relatively short, pretty easy hike and we were blown away when we reached the destination. It's a popular spot, so you can expect to see a lot of people come and go. We stayed for a while and watched the sunset and full moon rise...hiked back and headed out of the park as it closes after sunset. Absolutely gorgeous!
