Our second stop while in Anacapri was to see a church, which we always love to visit any and all churches in our travels. This one certainly was well worth the visit; it was one beautiful and interesting place of worship. The floor in this church (called Chiesa di San Michele) is the main attraction. It is a depiction of the Garden of Eden, with Satan as the serpent in the tree, an angel, Adam and Eve, and many various animals just wondering around. The church has several altars, but the High Altar is one amazing work of beauty. It is marble, but the sides are made of wood, even though they look to be marble as well. One can walk up a set of stairs to the second floor to get an elevated overall view of the church and a complete view then of the floor. Make sure to go upstairs!
