I grew up eating Zeppole at summer fairs in between rides on the ferris wheel and begging my parents for money. Fried dough is always a good idea, in my honest opinion. However, I had my mind blow at The Grey in Savannah when we got this order of the tasty treats in honor of my friend's birthday, because they were amazing! They were so light, the dark chocolate drizzle gave them an air of sophistication, and the custard they sat on was mind blowing. I love when people take simple desserts from my childhood and make them awesome for my adult self!
