If you're looking for a way to get some exercise and fresh air as a part of your visit to Atlanta, look no further than the Atlanta BeltLine and Piedmont Park. The BeltLine, will be a 22 mile trail and path that surrounds the city of Atlanta built on an old rail corridor that is a great place to bike, rollerblade, run, or walk while taking in some great scenery including skyline views and public art. While the full trail is still being built, areas are completed such as the East Side trail which connects to beautiful and spacious Piedmont Park. You can get to the park by the trail without ever having to deal with being on busy streets and then there is so much to explore in Piedmont including the Botanical Garden, pool, sports area, and lots of paths to explore the inner parts of the park. These are both two things you can't miss when you visit Atlanta! With festivals and events going on in Piedmont on a regular basis it's easy to turn this into a great outing with friends, a romantic date, and anything in between.

On the way to Piedmont Park, stop to check out Historic Fourth Ward Park which is next to the newly renovated Ponce City Market in a former gigantic Sears and Roebuck warehouse.
