Embassy Suites Hotel - Richmond, Virginia

Richmond, VA, United States
12 Kudos
I had to go on a short business trip to Richmond, Virginia and the company put me up at the Embassy Suites Hotel, which belongs to Hilton. Embassy Suites usually has a pretty solid offering from my limited experience with them. They aren't the fanciest hotels, but the rooms are spacious and have a decent breakfast. I was actually very surprised by the quality of this particular property - apparently it was recently renovated and they did a great job. The hotel looks very cookie-cutter on the outside, but on the inside it's very modern and fashionable.

I stayed in a standard two room suite with a king bed. Each room has a tiny balcony, which isn't very practical but makes for a nice place to "air out." The suite consisted of a master bedroom with king bed and television, bathroom with shower (no tub in mine), and a living room with attached kitchenette (microwave, sink, coffee brewer, mini fridge). The living room also had a sofa, work desk, and another television.

With regard to how the room looks, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The hotel also offered a number of added-value services for free: breakfast, gym, heated indoor pool and hot tub, and free rides to anywhere within a 5-mile radius of the hotel!

The room also has everything you could need: safe, iron and ironing board, all standard toiletries, coffee and tea with creamers/sugar, etc.

The breakfast was plentiful and tasty - it even had a cook-to-order omelette station. There was anything you could possibly want: bagels, eggs, home fries, breakfast meats, juices, coffee/tea, whole and sliced fruit, french toast, oatmeal - you name it. This was not your "coffee and danish" breakfast!

The service was also stellar and I was received by everyone with a smile, including the omelette cook.

I have another business trip coming up and will gladly stay at the hotel again!
