Travelers are always looking for a new, and hopefully unique, place to dine during their journeys. When it came time to stop for lunch in the German village of Kranenburg, there were several choices. The establishment we chose was El Toro. It looked like it didn’t belong in a German village; that was what convinced us to give it a go. There wasn’t much of a crowd, so lunch was a quiet affair. I tried the stew, which was served with fries. The stew was steaming hot, just the way I like it, and full of beef and root vegetables (we were in Germany after all).
