Düsseldorf’s Rathaus is located by the River Rhine in the central part of the city. Actually the Rathaus is somewhere in the middle of the K20 Museum and the K21 Museum, so it is easy to combine all these major site visits in one. The Rathaus of Düsseldorf fairly large as it is not just one building. It is a more like a building complex. The Rathaus was first built in the late 16th century and additional wing was added every now and then. As of now, the Rathaus complex consists of a total of five wings. It is very enjoyable to walk around the Rathaus complex where you can see a beautiful statue and a medieval style water fountain.
