As avid Disney fans we decided to take our first cruise on Disney Cruise Line. Even thought we are active, adventurous 20 somethings we weighed the options and thought Disney suited us the best. The Western Caribbean itinerary included: Costa Maya, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, & Castaway Cay. Costa Maya & Cozumel were our favorite ports with lots of dining options. Many people are critics of Costa Maya, I guess it's too "real" for people. We thought it was the best port with great locals and great food. By the way, it was beautiful and relaxing on the beach. The food and drink options on the cruise were top notch. We were not disappointed by the food options, although we were hesitant going into the cruise. Yes there were lots of kids on the boat, but we didn't have much interaction with many and didn't find the kids on board to negatively impact our trip. Another highlight of the trip was the Rainforest Room in the ship's spa. Around $20 for a day pass to use the showers, saunas, stone loungers, & hot tub. Very relaxing and a great way to kill some hours on a sea day. Overall a great trip. We would definitely take another Disney cruise and encourage others to as well.
