Costa Rican Coffee

La Fortuna, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica
15 Kudos
We both love our coffee in the morning and we had a wonderful opportunity to see how Costa Rica grows its brew. We signed up for a coffee tour to see how Costa Rican coffee goes from bean to cup. We watched how the coffee beans are harvested then roasting, and ground to make a great cup of joe. We took the tour of a family-owned coffee farm near the Arenal Volcano. It was so interesting to see how the beans were harvested and prepared for drying and roasting. This tour was pretty reasonably priced at $40 per person. The tour lasted about 3 hours and we were able to sample the deliciousness of really fresh brewed coffee.
