Commerce is a small city in the north Texas located in between Dallas and Paris, Texas, just about an hour driving from Dallas. Although it is a small city, there is Texas A&M University Commerce campus which has more than 12,000 student population that makes this city a more like a college town. The city is off from the Interstate 30 but not far from it and the stretch of the Highway 24 connecting Commerce and I-30 has speed limit equal to that of the I-30. So, visiting Commerce does not require a lot of time. Northeastern Texas is known as the blackland prairie and Commerce is in the heart of it. The historical mark says establishment of Commerce can be traced back to 1853.
