At our bed and breakfast, we were told that it was a frequent occurrence to see Clydesdale horses being ridden along the beach (there is apparently a riding school nearby). While walking along, cooling our feet in the water, we saw a group of riders approaching in the distance. Absolutely magnificent horses, and a joy to see them trotting along the sandy shore. We also soon realized that this stretch of beach is visited quite often by people with their canine companions. We saw many joyous doggies running along the water's edge. We had a great little morning walk - chatting with passersby, collecting seashells and watching the all the seaside visitors.
