Cliffs of La Mola

El Pilar de la Mola, PM, Spain
17 Kudos
La Mola is the highest part of Formentera. While 300 meters above sea level may not be that high in the grand scheme of things, on a mostly flat isle such as this, it makes for a dramatic difference. The land up here is something like a plateau, being pretty much perfectly flat on top despite the cliffs along the sea. This makes for a great place to do some walking or hiking with some rewarding views and sea breezes. It can get downright hot in the towns closer to sea level in the summer, and breezes aren't always a given, but up in the heights of La Mola you can pretty reliably bet on there being a pleasant breeze to keep things comfortable. We walked around the vicinity of the lighthouse and appreciated the cliffside topography
