Like most of the towns in the Rhineland Pfalz area of Germany, Traben-Trarbach is small and full of beauty. Set up along each side of the Mosel River, Traben-Trarbach is connected by a nice bridge so you can easily walk or drive to each town. We found a ton of cute restaurants and shops, but were mostly interested in visiting the Christmas market that was going on during our visit. The Christmas market was set up in different locations throughout Graben-Trarbach, but the thing that makes this market different is that it is located in their underground wine cellars. There are a number of them located throughout the town that have been used for hundreds of years. It was a cool way to experience a small German town at Christmas time.
