I tried to book a hotel in Uyuni well ahead of time, but could not make a decision primarily because of bad reviews that I read like no hot shower and no heating in the freezing temperature overnight. I found a few places that look good but way more expensive in the Bolivian standard and I did not wanted to be ripped off. I found this place called Chostel B&B actually through AirBnB and I booked a double room for myself for $ 11. What I needed was reasonably clean and a warm bed and a hot shower. When I got this place, I was shocked what it looks like the construction is incomplete and thought I made a wrong decision. When I got a key and went into my room, tada... the room is very spacious and everything is new, a double bed, three section sofa, wardrobe that I did not use, hot shower (although water pressure is low and I can go with that), a small heater that you can put right next to your bed to warm yourself. The price I paid is $11 and this is not a dorm room with 6 beds or something. In that low price, there was also free breakfast (fairly basic but good enough). Although everything is new, everything is made of cheap material and there are already some sign of deterioration here and there. However, I got a good hot shower, slept well in good bed, had free breakfast and I was more than happy with this place.
