While in Berlin we booked several walking tours to learn about the city and see the sights. To take a break from walking, we also booked a Spree river boat tour. The Spree River runs through the middle of the city and offers an interesting way to see points of interest. On a nice sunny day, it can be quite enjoyable to ride on the top deck of an open air boat. However the particular day we booked was a chilly overcast day (despite being the middle of June!). But we did get to see things like Museum Island, the Reichstag, and the building that Berliners refers to as “Jimmy Carter’s smile”. We also passed under one of the oldest bridges in Berlin. The Spree river boat tour is a great way to see the city!
