Cherry Blossoms - Washington, DC

Washington, DC, United States
1 Kudo
If you ever get the chance and the timing down, seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom around the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC is truly a wonderful experience.

I grew up in the area and have only gone down to see them 3 times. I went in 2016 close to peak bloom. While the day was a bit overcast, it was still beautiful. The blossoms are pretty fragile and the weather can be tricky. If there is a cold front or high winds, they blossoms can all freeze or fall to the ground. Also depending on how warm it is, peak bloom could be missed by a couple weeks.
