Central Grocery, the Original Muffuletta

New Orleans, LA, United States
6 Kudos
If you want to try a muffuletta in New Orleans, and you absolutely should, why not try the original? That was my thought when I walked into this unassuming grocery store with various products piled everywhere. I only had one mission, the muffuletta. This amazing take on an italian sandwich is made great by the olive salad that tops it as well as the unique circular bread.

This ended up being one of my favorite things I ate in New Orleans, and I ate a LOT of great food there. The balance is perfect and the sandwich is outstanding. You won't be disappointed if you go here.
