Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady

Taipa, Macao
5 Kudos
Flag
On a rainy morning my parents and I went to check out the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady. This is the cathedral of the Macau Diocese. It joins other religious sites you can visit in this part of Macau. It truly shows all the Portuguese influence in the region. Before it became a famous cathedral and an icon to Macau, this was just a wooden chapel during the early 1600s. Now locals and visitors flock the area. It is also super close to the famous Ruins of Saint Paul. Make sure to check out this part of Macau and check out the cathedrals / church, and markets surrounding it.
