It is in the Israeli's culture ingredients to meet up with friends over coffee and chat away for hours. Israel is well known for having best quality coffees and technically no matter which coffee shop you will stop by, as long as it is an Israeli brand coffee place you will not be disappointed with the taste of the coffee. Starbucks opened several branches in Israel and closed them all down after two years because they couldn't compete with the Israeli coffee flavor that was available for the locals. When we visited the Cafe Cafe style place in Israel we had another great breakfast with such delicious coffee. It is fairly expensive to buy coffee in Israel, but not as expensive as NYC. For the typical American the cost may be bearable, but for the locals it is pretty high, as the cost of living is also very high in Israel.
