The cable cars in Lisbon, Telecabine Lisboa, were built for the 1998 expo when the Nations park area was redeveloped. Located near the Lisbon aquarium and a strip of amazing restaurants, the cable car takes you from the aquarium to the Vasco de Gama tower. The ride isn't that long, but the views are breathtaking. The price was also low enough that we didn't mind pay for a ten minute ride one way. You can pay to go one way, or a return trip, which we did, stopping briefly on the Vasco de Gama end to explore the gardens and research our dinner options. Our kids had a blast, we loved the views and we don't regret shelling out the dough for this experience.
